Tuesday: What do you know about wind? What does the wind sound like? What is wind? What is a tornado or a hurricane? What can wind do? Make your own wind by blowing on different objects (a feather, a pencil, a block, a cup,  a rock, etc.) and explore what your wind can do to each object!

Wednesday: Can you use wind to move paint across your paper? Drop different colors of watercolor onto your paper and  blow through a straw onto each drop. What do you think will happen to your paint drops?  How does your artwork feel? Use a hairdryer to blow wind onto your paint and watch what will happen! How does the wind from the hairdryer feel? What did it do to the paint? How is that different from blowing through a straw?

Thursday: How fast can the wind be? How can you tell from which direction the wind blows? Let’s make a windsock and hang it up outside to find out! Thread beads on pipe cleaners and then tie them through holes punched onto a plastic lid! How fast do beads move? In which direction do they move?

Friday: What makes the clouds move in the sky? How  does a cellophane bag change if you blow air into it? Blow air into a cellophane bag and tie the end with yarn. Go outside and fly your bag balloon in the air! Explore what happens to your bag balloon when you stand still, move slowly, or run fast!
