Tuesday: What do you know about water? What shape is water? Fill up different shape containers and explore what you will see! How does water taste? How do you think the taste will change when sugar or salt is added? What color is water? How do you think the color of the water will change if we add different food coloring to each container?

Wednesday: Why do you think your body needs water? How do you drink water? How do plants drink water?  Put celery stalks in different cups with colored water and watch what happens!  What do you think will happen to our celery stalks if we don’t give them water? Let’s put a stalk in a cup without water and check what happens the next time!

Thursday: Why do you think we need an umbrella when it is raining?  Let’s find out!  Use an eyedropper to put water on different materials(wax paper, paper towels, a raincoat, an umbrella, sponges, etc.) and find out what will happen?  What do the words absorb and repel mean?

Friday: Do you think fruits and vegetables contain water? Let’s squeeze them and see what we will find! How do you think those fruits and vegetables will change when they are put in the oven? Compare fresh fruits and vegetables before and after being dried in the oven? What do you see?  Where do you think the water went?
