2. Making bug pictures using matte board, cotton balls, pompoms, markers, and glue. 

Morning Meeting:
What do we know about Dragonflies? What would you like to learn about them?


1. Start making our Dragonfly Clips: clothespins, markers, googley eyes

2. Watercolor Paints

Bible Story:  The Young Reader’s Bible: “A Special Treasure”

How does the Rimsky Korsakov music sound like a bee? 

What instruments do you hear?  How does that music make you feel?


Lily’s Birthday Celebration: Paint mini pumpkins during free play and read a special book.

1. Dragonfly clips: Make our dragonfly wings — choose a colorful foam sheet, cut and decorate with markers.
2. Insect Dominoes

Book:  Dragonfly  by Kelly Borchelt: How do Dragonfly parts help them hover like helicopters?
Bible Story:  
The Young Reader’s Bible:
Faith or Fear?

 We’ll continue to notice the changes outside — what is happening to the leaves on the trees? To the other plants? To the weather?


Monday’s Songs

Free Time:  Insect Dominoes

Geo Boards

Morning Meeting:
What changes do insect bodies make during their lifetimes?
What did we learn about the changes in a butterfly’s life?

1.”Bucket of Bugs” game

2.  Finish dragonfly clips:
Make and decorate bodies and attach their wings.



Book: Dragonfly  by Kelly Borchelt:  How do dragonflies change?  We’ll explore the life cycle of dragonflies.

Free Play:  Make dragonflies out of tissue paper, tape, and colored popsicle sticks.

Unifix cubes and bugs: use cubes to count different types of bugs, to count different colors of bugs.
