-Identify and use simple tools appropriately to extend observations.

-Compare and contrast natural materials such as water, rocks, soil, and living organisms using descriptive language. 

-Relate themes and information in books to personal experiences.

-Use emergent writing skills to make letters in many settings and for many purposes. 

Spiritual: Jesus cares for us and looks out for us.  Read  Matthew 18: 10- 14 and Mark 10/Luke 18.

-Identify and use simple tools appropriately to extend observations.

-Investigate, describe, and compare the characteristics that differentiate living from non-living things

Farmers John and Janet French (Wyatt’s grandparents) will teach us about planting and help us plant our own seeds!

 

 

Bible Story: Read “The Lost Sheep” in the Beginners Bible.

What does a plant need to grow?  What kind of seed are we growing?  What do you predict it will look like as it grows? Discuss the various stages of growth.

Examine Miss Ellie’s compost using magnifying glasses with your partners.  What do you see?  Compare various samples.

What did you find in the compost?  Did you find any living organisms?  How is compost is made?
