-Participate actively in discussions, listen to the ideas of others, and ask and answer relevant questions.

-Sing songs with repetitive phrases and rhythmic patterns.

-Participate in simple sequences of movements and dance to various kinds of music.


-Record observations and share ideas through simple forms of representation such as drawings.

-Use dramatic play, costumes, and props to pretend to be someone else.

-Listen to, recite, sing, and dramatize a variety of age-appropriate literature.

-Recognize and supply rhythm and rhyme in poetry. 

Spiritual: Jesus was brought back to life by God’s power.  He is alive today in heaven!

-Listen to and say the names of numbers in meaningful contexts. 

-Make predictions about changes in materials or objects based on past experience. 

-Use positional language and ordinal numbers (first, second, third) in everyday activities.

Draw a picture in your book of what you think of when you think of Easter.

Bible Story: Read “A Dark Night in the Garden” p 294 in The Storybook Bible.

Check on our plants: how much water do they need each week? What do you predict may happen soon?

Make paper crosses using tissue paper and glue.

Bible Story: Read “The Sun Stops Shining” p. 302 in The Storybook Bible.

Work together to put the events of the Easter story in chronological order.  What happened first, second, third, etc?

Draw a picture of a scene from the Easter Story that we have been reading about this week.

Bring home our plants for safe- keeping over vacation.  Don’t forget to water them occasionally at home!

Dress-up in robes/scarves and travel through stations to help us recall the events leading up to Easter.  Celebrate that Jesus is Alive!

How many eggs will you collect during our Easter egg hunt?  How many bags of pretzels will you find? (2 eggs & 1 bag of pretzels)
