“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.  God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.”  (Ephesians 1:4-5)

How amazing that before the world began you chose me, God.  Before dinosaurs, before glaciers, before continents and governments existed you chose me to be holy and without fault.  And this gave you great pleasure!

What a good reminder today, in the midst of busyness and mindless tasks.  Help me to live into this place of adoption – of being your chosen family member.  And help me to welcome each child into our classroom ‘family’ in this same way.  What a gift to be wanted, to be chosen.
